With a teaching legacy dating back to 1989, Mr. Stiles’ programs attract serious students seeking true professional garment-construction skills—not hobby instruction. Classes are offered in Oak Park, Palos Hills, and Joliet, drawing committed students from across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana who want to learn correctly, precisely, and at a professional standard.
Instruction is based on professional and bespoke tailoring methods rarely taught outside focused training environments. These proven techniques replace trial-and-error with understanding, control, and consistent results.
Students of all levels are welcome—from complete beginners to advanced designers refining fit, precision, and high-level technique. Each program follows a clear, progressive pathway built around industry standards and real-world application.
To preserve the depth, rigor, and quality of instruction, enrollment is intentionally limited by design. As a result, programs reach capacity every semester, with waiting lists forming before public registration opens. Many students continue for multiple semesters, advancing through progressively higher levels of training as part of a sustained professional development path.

Eric W. Stiles Sr., a Master Bespoke Tailor and Designer with over 40 years of experience in high-end fashion and garment construction, has worked with internationally renowned fashion houses including top-tier brands such as Brioni, Giorgio Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford.
Renowned for his precision, craftsmanship, and approachable teaching style, he has guided and inspired countless aspiring designers, sewers, and industry professionals, focusing on practical techniques delivered in a supportive, stress-free environment.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced student, learning under Mr. Stiles means gaining the skills, discipline, and confidence to excel in the fashion industry. Students enrolled in these courses gain not only technical instruction but also the benefit of his global perspective, professional discipline, and dedication to craftsmanship.
